After her sophomore, highly acclaimed EP Derrière l’écran (July 2021 via TELESKOP) , ODALIE, the creative outlet of French composer Sophie Griffon, returns with Derrière l’écran (Reworks), a collection of 5 tracks revisited by befriended french artists from the local electronic music scene. The goal of the project was to expand the borders of Odalie´s pieces and make Derrière l’écran a collective project beyond electronic genre boundaries.
The partly improvised interplay between cello, modular synthesizer, crystalline pads and odd rhythms on the original EP now find themselves in a whole new dress between ice-cold synthesis and warm field recording-driven, sketchy tracks, sound art and a 90´s techno throwback.
